Hughes Network Systems has agreed to integrate and distribute 4G emergency communications technology made by Virtual NetCom, a wireless network business owned by COMSovereign Holding.
VNC's Rapid Access Independent Deployable 4G/LTE offering is a portable broadband system designed to virtualize network functions and deliver cloud native services, COMSovereign said Tuesday.
Hughes will incorporate the system into the company's SatCell Connect service, a wireless communication platform linked to Hughes' satellites.
SatCell Connect can operate as a self-contained system to deliver communications in emergency and connectivity-limited scenarios. It can also be used for remote work and military applications.
In addition, the wireless communication technology has commercial mobile wireless network features and functions.
John Legters, president of VNC, said RAID allows SatCell to deliver LTE communications in almost any area.
