CAE's U.S. subsidiary has received a prime contract to train aircraft pilots of U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the company's Dothan Training Center and other business aviation facilities.

CAE USA will provide training on fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft in classroom, simulated and actual flight environments to help pilots meet requirements imposed by CBP and the Federal Aviation Administration, CAE said Tuesday.

The company will use variants of Sikorsky's S-76B helicopter and the Beechcraft King Air (C-12) utility aircraft, as well as qualify instructors and train aircrews as part of the Aircraft Pilot Training Services program.

The CAE OneWorld 2021 virtual event, which started on Tuesday, features a 3D virtual walkthrough of the company's Dothan Training Center.

CBP also named other prime contractors on the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
