This marks Brothers’ first Wash100 Award. He joined NuWave Solutions as CEO when investment firm AE Industrial Partners acquired majority ownership of NuWave in June 2020. NuWave maintains a portfolio of data management, analytics, cloud and artificial intelligence technology offerings for both the private and public sectors.
Most recently, NuWave Solutions and PCI Strategic Management merged to form BigBear.ai in Feb. 2021. Brothers has assumed the role of CEO with BigBear.ai, where he will work to provide high-end capabilities across the data and digital spectrum to deliver information superiority and decision support.

Prior to the merger, Brothers drove high-impact growth across NewWave, expanding its offerings and making the company a competitive player in the GovCon sector. Brothers leveraged his experience and knowledge to impact all facets of NuWave Solutions.
NuWave Solutions’ merger follows the company’s acquisition of BigBear, which NuWave Solutions purchased in Dec. 2020. BigBear is a cloud-based, big data analytics company that provides solutions to the national security community.
This was the first acquisition completed by NuWave since being acquired by AE Industrial Partners. It was also the first acquisition by Nuwave since Brothers became CEO.
As part of the acquisition of BigBear, NuWave is expected to gain its expertise in big data computing and analytics, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, geospatial information systems, data mining and systems engineering. BigBear has provided technology solutions to customers across the defense and intelligence communities.
BigBear has combined comprehensive technology solutions with its BigBear Platform to create secure cloud environments that support big data computing, machine learning and improved decision-making to better manage risk.
“BigBear’s data and analytics solutions bolster our existing capabilities to address the entire spectrum of information superiority,†said Brothers. “Making better decisions from data while mitigating risk is a top priority for our government customers, and we look forward to working with the BigBear team as we supplement our capabilities to meet growing demand.â€
Prior to BigBear’s acquisition by NuWave Solutions, Brothers also spearheaded the purchase of ProModel Corporation business segment that offers analytic software platforms to the U.S. government, for an undisclosed sum. With the purchase, NuWave will gain access to ProModel Government Services’ innovative and adaptable custom model-based software solutions.

ProModel Government Services’ solutions offer near real-time situational awareness of the current environment and a predictive view of the future, enabling government organizations to make rapid, informed decisions that impact defense readiness.
