Analytical Space Inc. will use network assets of Inmarsat and Addvalue Innovation to deliver new imagery transport services from low Earth orbit satellites.

ASI's Fast Pixel Network will use network systems of the two partner companies to transport satellite-based data across nodes to commercial and government entities, Inmarsat said Friday.

The partnership aims to expand the accessibility of Fast Pixel Network's LEO customers to Inmarsat’s geostationary orbit satellites. ASI and Inmarsat want to achieve this without having to replace current hardware architectures.

Addvalue will contribute its Intersatellite Data Relay System, a technology that would provide telemetry, tracking and control for Fast Pixel Network's satellites.

“By building in compatibility between our two networks, we can collectively provide a real-time telemetry, tracking, and control link into Earth observation satellites through the IDRS solution and a high throughput, low-latency link back to the ground for imagery downlink through the ASI Fast Pixel Network," explained ASI CEO Dan Nevius.

Colin Chan, chairman and CEO at Addvalue, said the partnership between the three companies will address the satellite industry's need for timely image delivery.
