Tenable

The National Information Assurance Partnership has issued Common Criteria certification to Tenable after the company's suite of information technology offerings cleared a security review and a series of stringent tests.

Tenable said Friday its portfolio of IT products, which includes Nessus and Tenable.sc, is now added to NIAP Product Compliant List and is available for use in U.S. national security systems.

Bob Huber, chief security officer at Tenable, said company offerings are tailored based on the data security and privacy requirements of its customers. He added that the NIAP certification reflected Tenable's commitment to provide federal government and regulated industries with secured products.

The company developed its IT portfolio to assist customers in evaluating and remediating security vulnerabilities.

Tenable also received an "In Process" designation from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for a cloud-based vulnerability management tool and achieved certification under the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard for an information security management platform.
