Octo Names Letitia ‘Tish’ Long to Board of Directors; Mehul Sanghani Quoted

Octo has appointed Letitia “Tish” Long, a former director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and a two-time Wash100 Award recipient, to the company’s board of directors, the company reported on Tuesday. Long’s appointment will place greater focus on the Intelligence Community (IC) as Octo’s core customer.

“Having Long on our board of directors is a massive boon to our ability to understand and support the Intelligence Community,” said Mehul Sanghani, CEO of Octo. “Her history with and understanding of the inner workings of the IC overall and the NGA specifically allow us to create solutions that better support its mission. We’re elated to have her on our board.”

Throughout her career, Long has served in various leadership positions in Naval Intelligence and the IC. She retired as the fifth director of the NGA where she led the Map of the World program that currently provides geospatial intelligence data to all U.S. intelligence, military, diplomatic and disaster recovery assets.

Long currently serves as chairman of the board for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA). She also serves on the boards of Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT), Parsons and Noblis.

In addition to her recent appointment with Octo, Long was also named to Applied Information Sciences’ (AIS) Board of Directors in Dec. 2020. “Tish’s impact in the defense and intelligence community is unmatched,” said Larry Katzman, president and CEO, AIS.
