A joint venture between Octo and Metric5 won a five-year, $63 million contract to develop information technology applications for the Department of the Treasury's Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.

The JV will provide Agile development, maintenance, security and operational support of TTB’s business applications under the DevOps – Software Development Services contract, Octo said Tuesday.

“Octo is pleased to be expanding our support at the Department of the Treasury and developing this relationship with TTB,” said Thomas Lee, a senior vice president at Octo.

“Our JV partner Metric5 has been great to collaborate with in the past, and we are looking forward to working together once again at TTB," Lee added.

Under the contract, Octo will help manage the bureau's IT platforms, server and database, configure apps and analyze business processes.

The partnership won a separate $25 million contract from the Transportation Security Administration in October 2020 to support the mission support portfolio under TSA's Flexible Agile Scalable Teams vehicle. Under that award, Octo will provide program and project management, subject matter and senior technology expertise, application development and application production services.
