Ganpat Wagh, a retired FBI special agent, brings 30 years of senior leadership experience in the private and public sectors to his new role at Cornerstone Defense as vice president of cyber operations.
Wagh said in a statement published Tuesday he will help the Hanover, Maryland-based information services company expand in the cyber and digital innovation markets by identifying opportunities for current and new customers.
Chris Goodrich, CEO of Cornerstone, cited Wagh's expertise in developing information security strategies to protect businesses' critical systems.
Wagh managed insider threat and cybersecurity programs for various clients during his tenure at MCPc as a security principal. Prior to MCPc, he served as executive special assistant to FBI Director Christopher Wray and carried out work for an FBI section chief-director's operations and strategy group.
He also performed duties for the U.S. Cyber Command and the National Security Agency.
The new VP's appointment took effect Monday.
