Absolute Software, a provider of endpoint security, has been prioritized to undergo evaluation under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for a provisional authority to operate.
The decision by the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board placed Absolute Software closer to receiving an authorization that certifies its ability to meet required controls to prevent security risks associated with cloud service usage, the company said Thursday.
Absolute Software noted the prioritization also indicates the federal government's demand for Endpoint Resilience offerings.
The company's Resilience products are designed to allow continuous data protection and asset intelligence through visibility and control over data applications, networks and users.
FedRAMP seeks to standardize the use of repeatable cloud security capabilities across the federal government.
