Cyberbit Begins North American Leg of International Cybersecurity Competition

Cyberbit has launched an international competition that will subject participants to attacks simulated through a company-built platform to determine the best defensive group of cyber professionals.

To identify teams qualified to join the International Cyber League, Cyberbit announced Tuesday the start of registration for the ICL: America’s Cyber Cup, the North American leg of the competition that will test how teams employ cyber skills to safeguard a hyper-realistic environment.

The cyber skill development platform provider will provide participating groups access to range exercises designed to simulate ransomware, fileless attacks, Trojans and other security incidents, as well as inform them of how well they would manage the attacks in the real world.

Prior to the competition, contestants will be able to use a virtual security operations center to train for defending against simulated cyberattacks using security tools, the company noted.

Adi Dar, CEO of Cyberbit, said the company aims to help professionals uncover their cyber defense skills through simulation-based training.

The registration period for ICL: America’s Cyber Cup will run through Feb. 22. Each team can have up to three members from a single organization in North America.

The first qualifier round is scheduled to take place on March 1.
