Snowflake's cloud product has gained a spot on Carahsoft Technology's distribution contract with the National Association of State Procurement Officials.
Carahsoft said Wednesday it can now distribute Snowflake's Data Cloud platform to state and local governments and academic institutions through NASPO's ValuePoint Cloud Solutions contract.
The cooperative purchasing program employs a lead-state model to facilitate public procurement solicitations and agreements.Â
The Data Cloud platform allows users to run data workloads on multiple cloud environments across the globe in a protected, collaborative environment. The platform is designed for multiple data applications including data science, storage, sharing and engineering.
“Our addition to the NASPO Valuepoint Cloud Solutions contract opens the door for state and local municipalities to be able to leverage Snowflake’s Data Cloud for mobilizing their data resources," said Ted Girard, regional vice president for public sector at Snowflake.
