Charles River Analytics has received almost $1 million in funds from the U.S. Army to develop an agent-based algorithm that could provide teams of robotic and human caregivers with direction and assistance in treating traumatic injuries.
The Autonomous Ruggedized Combat Casualty Care – Intervention algorithm is planned to employ hierarchical depictions of various interventions to deliver tactical combat casualty care or life-saving approaches for trauma care, the company said Friday.
According to a separate press release posted in March 2019, the ARC3 suite builds on other methods and applications Charles River Analytics created to assist warfighters in forecasting traumatic injury.
Charles River Analytics secured three Army contracts to design various components of the ARC3 platform, with one covering the development of the EPIC3 application, a tool that works to provide diagnosis and treatment to traumatic conditions.
The company provides defense, intelligence, medical technology and other markets with offerings based on researching AI, robotics and human-machine interface.
