Akima Logistics Services, an Akima subsidiary, has secured a position on the ten-year, $14 billion Aircraft Maintenance Enterprise Solution (ACES) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, Akima reported on Wednesday.

“We are proud to continue our support of vital Air Force missions and eager to provide effective, efficient, and innovative solutions,” said Scott Rauer, president of Akima’s Facilities Solutions Group.

ACES contract is a strategic sourcing vehicle for contracted aircraft maintenance across the U.S. Air Force. Akima Logistics Services will provide organizational-level maintenance services for all aircraft listed in each individual task order performance work statement.

Any aircraft platform, excluding rotary wing, tiltrotor and remotely piloted aircraft, will be covered by the contract work. Locations will be cited on individual task orders. Work is expected to be completed by September 2031. The award was made by the Air Force Installation Contracting Agencies 338 ESS.

Akima Logistics Services’ ACES position follows the subsidiary’s spot on the $6.1 billion Kits, Recovery, Augmentation, Components and Engines (KRACEn) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) in May 2020. Under KRACEn, the company will work to support the U.S. Navy.

Commander, Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) awarded the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), enterprise contract to procure aircraft maintenance services and sustainment support.

“We are excited to be part of the KRACEn contract and eager to immediately provide value through our agility and experience,” said Rauer. “This award further demonstrates Akima’s proven ability to provide customers with world-class aircraft maintenance services in support of their most critical efforts.”
