TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 22, 2020 — The U.S. Navy awarded Amentum a three-year, $22M contract to support the development of a Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division facility for undersea missile test data collection efforts, GovCon Wire reported Dec. 9.
Jill Bruning, president of Amentum’s intelligence, systems engineering, security, services and solutions strategic business unit, said the company will work with NSWC's Strategic Systems Hardware Division to establish the underwater launch test capability.
She added the company's subject matter experts will assist in data recovery and analysis, missile system engineering and launch vehicle recovery.
