CTC Unveils ‘Polyform’ Composable VR Architecture; Ed Sheehan Quoted

Concurrent Technologies Corp. has introduced a new form of composable architecture that can modify virtual spaces to suit applications such as military training, real estate and live entertainment.

Polyform uses grid-based technology to rapidly alter spaces and contains motorized columns for mixed real and virtual combat training in indoor and outdoor settings, CTC said Friday.

Aside from its physical training infrastructure, the XR variant of the simulation tool has features for immersive visualization to support free-roam and mixed-reality mission rehearsal training activities.

CTC is launching the Polyform company in line with the product’s rollout.

Bryan Maizlish, cofounder and CEO of Polyform, said the tool is meant to provide a multipurpose and multifunctional virtual environment that can create “infinitely configurable spaces based on personal preferences.”

Ed Sheehan, president and CEO of CTC, said the company is seeking strategic investors through Polyform to help introduce the technology for commercial and government applications.

“We are excited to pursue transition opportunities with this technology in new markets, including sports and entertainment companies, public sector agencies, and global corporations representing a variety of business sectors,” he noted.

Polyform has concluded the prototyping and testing phase and is transitioning into wide market release.
