VMware has received moderate-level certification under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for a cloud-hosted platform designed to help agencies manage user's identity and access to digital work environments.
Workspace ONE Access offers conditional access, single sign-on and multifactor authentication for government applications across networks and mobile devices, the company said Tuesday.
“Today’s U.S. government is in a race to modernize its IT infrastructure to support ever more complicated missions, growing workloads and an increasingly distributed workforce—and do so facing a constantly evolving threat landscape,†said Bill Rowan, vice president of federal sales for government, education and health care at VMware and a three-time Wash100 Award recipient.
Rowan added that seeks to help federal customers adopt a zero-trust approach to managing and accessing devices through its FedRAMP-compliant offering.
The cloud-hosted offering is part of the company's Workspace ONE platform that also includes the Intelligent Hub and Unified Endpoint Management products.
