TYSONS CORNER, VA, November 10, 2020 — MetTel will provide the State Department with a fully managed layer 3 Multiprotocol Label Switching network, Internet Protocol Service and Ethernet Transport Service under a potential 13-year, $711M task order as part of the General Services Administration’s Enterprise Infrastructure Services contract, GovCon Wire reported Oct. 27.

Robert Dapkiewicz, senior vice president and general manager of MetTel’s federal practice, said the company will support the department’s efforts to implement advanced communications.

MetTel will help the department’s telecommunications, wireless and data services division upgrade its network into a software-defined WAN platform.
