Nichols Martin
Kurt Small, formerly president of Anthem's federal government solutions business, has been appointed to serve as senior vice president and chief operating officer of the company's government business division, FedHealthIT reported Monday.
He will oversee strategies that would guide the technology and operations behind the health insurer's government-focused pursuits.
Small has decades of leadership experience, having held executive roles across multiple companies such as Aetna, National Government Services and Virginia Premier Health Plan, where he also served as COO.
The government contracting expert joined Anthem in July 2019 to lead efforts that support the federal government's health care.
