Crowley Solutions has received the HIRE Vets Platinum Medallion from the Department of Labor in recognition of the company's efforts in the employment and retention of military veterans and its acknowledgment of former service members' contribution to the workplace.
The Florida-based government contractor said Wednesday that the veteran retention rate at Crowley is over 90 percent, while more than nine percent of the company's workforce and 13 percent of the administrative department are made up of veterans.
Crowley has also supported an employee resource group established to assist active-duty personnel and veterans with their careers.
Aside from Crowley, DOL has recognized 674 other companies from 49 U.S. states.
The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Medallion Program seeks to honor organizations for their veteran employment contributions.
