Charlie Zisette, executive director of the National Armaments Consortium, said the organization will change its timetable for announcing Department of Department prototyping solicitations regarding military weapons and support equipment requirements, National Defense Magazine reported Friday.

He told the publication that NAC will transition from the annual release of other transaction agreement opportunities to a monthly basis and increase the number of networking events it will host each year from one to three.

According to him, the group has approximately 60 projects with DoD and the potential value of active efforts is $14B.

Zisette added the consortium established a parallel mechanism for DoD customers to provide a technology collaboration notice to its membership ahead of formal solicitations.

He also noted that a NAC executive committee meets every month to assess and address any potential challenges associated with its process.
