Paul Kaminski, a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran and former acquisition chief at the Department of Defense, has joined the federal advisory board of geospatial collaboration software provider Immersive Wisdom.
The two-time Defense Science Board chairman is an adviser to the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory, Immersive Wisdom said Sunday.
Kaminski also serves as board chair at  Seagate Government Solutions, the Systems Engineering Research Council and HRL Technologies, and holds a director role at Mitre, the Air Force Academy Foundation and CoVant Technologies.
From 1994 to 1997, he served as undersecretary for acquisition and technology at DoD. His military career included assignments at the Air Force as director for low observables technology and at the National Reconnaissance Office, where he led space technology development projects.
He penned technical publications about various topics such as the performance of inertial and terminal guidance systems, simulation techniques, numerical estimation and Kalman filtering.
