Hewlett Packard Enterprise has certified ORock Technologies as a Cloud Bank storage partner to help HPE server customers back up and restore data.

ORock said Thursday its object storage offering is designed to facility cloud backup security via HPE's Gen10 hardware and Silicon Root of Trust tool without cloud data egress charges.

The platform also works with the Cloud Bank service to orchestrate and schedule backup activities to public cloud environments through the use of simple secure storage application interfaces.

"We've made it easy for HPE StoreOnce customers to point to a cloud as part of a 3-2-1 data protection strategy," said Ashish Prakash, vice president and general manager of cloud data services at HPE's storage business.

O'Rock noted that the 3-2-1 backup method allows a user to create a third copy of data, secure information on two storage types and store a copy offsite.
