Former CACI Exec Tony Azar Named MD Consulting COO

Tony Azar, former senior vice president of CACI International's health care solutions group, has been named chief operating officer of Waldorf, Md.-based professional services company MD Consulting, FedHealthIT reported Friday.

Azar brings more than two decades of federal market experience to MDC, which primarily offers financial and program management and administrative support services.

His industry career included roles as VP and general manager of Harris' civilian health care services unit from 2013 to 2016 and VP for civilian solutions at General Dynamics' information technology business from 2006 to 2012.

He also held leadership positions at SCI Consulting and Anteon.
