Raytheon Technologies’ intelligence and space business has partnered with the U.S. Air Force to create a software development framework for multidomain workflow management activities.
The company said Monday its BBN Technologies segment will develop the framework to help the Air Force integrate software into its Flyleaf program designed to model operations for the monitoring, tracking and assessment of multidomain data.
The resulting framework will serve as a standard for repeatable and consistent methods for testing and executing program tasks without needing to modify existing software to accommodate new technologies.
“Our approach will allow the Air Force to test new micro-services without revamping or interfering with other services on the network that must remain reliable and accessible,†noted Brad Tousley, president of BBN.
Raytheon said it will deploy “proposed new toolsâ€Â to evaluate its approach to executing software procedures like dynamic targeting under the agreement.
