Second Front Systems, an Arlington, Va.-based software development company, has raised $6M in seed capital as part of a funding round led by venture capital firm and Palantir investor Artis Ventures.
Second Front said Tuesday its other investors include Abstract Ventures, 8VC, Kleiner Perkins and Gula Tech Adventures.
The new funding is intended to support Second Front’s efforts to further develop its Software-as-a-Service platform Atlas Fulcrum, the company noted.
The U.S. Air Force’s AFWERX innovation arm and the General Services Administration previously issued a contract to utilize the SaaS offering, which works to manage data analytics functions while integrating updates from commercial databases like Clearbit and Crunchbase.
Austin Walne, a partner at Artis, will serve as a member of Second Front's board of directors as part of the recent transaction.
Peter Dixon, CEO of Second Front, said the new financing will enable the company to establish a “lean systems integrator†that will help drive American entrepreneurial efforts.
Second Front Systems is a veteran-owned small business that offers systems integration technologies and services. The company has offices in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
