Tory Bruno, CEO of United Launch Alliance, has said the company is “not missing any milestones” for the launch of its Vulcan Centaur rocket early next year, United Press International reported Friday.

The next-generation Vulcan rocket is undergoing assembly operations in Decatur, Ala., and features Blue Origin's BE-4 liquefied natural gas engines that have a thrust capacity of 1.1M pounds.

Since March, ULA has enforced coronavirus prevention measures including increased sanitation and social distancing as well as telework implementation, Bruno told UPI.

He added that the company will shoulder three-quarters of the $967M government funding it received to construct Vulcan Centaur through 2024.

ULA is slated to launch a Dreamchaser spaceplane built by Sierra Nevada Corp. as part of a commercial cargo delivery mission to the International Space Station, according to the report.
