U.S. Special Operations Command has issued a request for information on new signals intelligence technology platforms and scheduled a test event for the week of Sept. 21 at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Indiana.
SOCOM and its Special Operations Forces Acquisition Technology and Logistics Center and Program Manager for Joint Threat Warning Systems will use industry responses to the RFI for market research use, the command said Friday in a SAM notice.
Key areas of interest outlined in the notice are small form factor antennas that can be mounted on unmanned aircraft systems, UAS radio frequency SIGINT sensors, tactical edge signal processing, artificial intelligence/machine learning and radio transmitter detection capability.
The government will accept white papers through July 1 and will notify qualified participants by Aug. 2.
