Fred Altimont, former managing director of Infor's federal health care business, has been named senior director of strategic alliances at Hollywood, Md.-based information technology company Smartronix, FedHealthIT reported Tuesday.

In his new capacity, Altimont will focus on efforts to develop Microsoft-based applications for clients within the government, health care and financial services sectors.

His career also includes various positions at Insightin Health, Leidos, ViiMed, Intel Security, Microsoft and Quest Software.

Smartronix offers cloud computing, cybersecurity, health IT, software development, network operations and engineering support services.
