An Akima subsidiary has secured a potential five-year, $70.2M contract for non-flying support to mobility air forces at 14 U.S. Air Force bases within the contiguous U.S.
RiverTech will help MAF reduce personnel workload by absorbing some of their duties, Akima said Wednesday.
The branch awarded the contract under the small business portion of the General Services Administration's One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services procurement vehicle.
Installations where RiverTech will perform work include Birmingham, Dyess and McConnell AFBs.
“Our aviation logistics professionals are proud to expand our efforts to aid flying personnel in achieving their missions,†said Scott Rauer, president of Akima's facilities solutions group.
