LMI has received a potential five-year, $70M task order to provide administrative, strategic communications and business operations support to the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment.
LMI said Wednesday it secured the order through the General Services Administration’s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services contract vehicle and will support weapons program lifecycle activities under OUSD(A&S).
OUSD(A&S) encompasses operations under the leadership of three Department of Defense assistant secretaries and the deputy assistant secretary for industrial policy. The office also manages the acquisition, development, modernization and sustainment of nuclear, chemical and biological defense capabilities.
Stu Jones, director of supply chain management at LMI, said the organization is proud to provide subject matter expertise to help accelerate the deployment of new defense capabilities.
“As the country responds to the Covid-19 pandemic, we appreciate the opportunity to help key decision-makers ensure that national defense needs are met at this critical time,†noted Robert Lech, vice president of the LMI defense market.
The recent award builds on LMI’s prior experience providing administrative and analytics services to OUSD(A&S) components.
