SEAKR Engineering has received a prime award to continue to help the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency demonstrate full processing of the Blackjack satellite network.
The company said Tuesday it will continue to take part in a three-phase effort to test on-orbit, reconfigurable multi-satellite processing via a range of technologies such as analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters. The award stems from the second option of an original contract announced in October last year.
Blackjack aims to field a constellation of military-grade satellites that leverage integrated commercial technologies. SEAKR will pursue the continued development of its space-tailored Pit Boss processor to address the program’s processing requirements.
Microsoft, Kythera Space Solutions, NKrypt, Applied Technology Associates and Advanced Solutions Inc. serve as partners for the Pit Boss effort.
