Rubrik has released a new version of its product designed to help users manage and move data in cloud platforms and data centers.
The company said Tuesday its Andes 5.2 platform would allow businesses to accelerate data cloning, boost resiliency and perform data activities with a more simplified process across an enterprise.
Andes 5.2 is designed to operate with cloud platforms and virtual machines made by Oracle and VMware and has been augmented to comply with industry standards.
The new version also features multinode data streaming that boosts the data backup speed achievable through VMware vSphere.
“Rubrik modernized our backup and delivers the performance we need to support continuous development on massive VMware VMs,†said Ben Hopkinson, chief technology officer of video game firm Splash Damage.
Ed Poll, head of information technology infrastructure at Cranfield University, said Rubrik’s technology automatically manages Oracle databases.
