Mitre Evaluates Cyber Tools From 21 Vendors for 'APT29' Threat Defense Initiative - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Mitre has issued the results of its assessments of cybersecurity platforms from 21 companies to help industry and government agencies improve their capabilities to detect and combat cyber threats.

Mitre evaluated the cyber offerings using its ATT&CK knowledge base to emulate the techniques used by APT29, a cyber threat group believed to be related to the Russian government, the nonprofit corporation said Tuesday.

“ATT&CK Evaluations help the cybersecurity community by improving the security products that we rely upon and arming end users with objective insights into those product capabilities to detect known adversary behaviors,” said Jon Baker, department head for adversary emulation and orchestration at Mitre.

The vendors involved in Mitre’s assessment efforts are:
