Galois has received a four-year, $12.8M contract to support a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency program that will explore the potential of a cryptogtaphic protocol to help the Department of Defense protect sensitive data on multiple platforms.
The DoD said Friday it seeks to verify relevant systems through the “zero knowledge proof” approach without disclosing protected details under the Securing Information for Encrypted Verification and Evaluation initiative.
DARPA received 13 offers for the SIEVE research project via a broad agency announcement and will obligate $2.7M at the time of award.
Contract work will occur at Galois’ facility in Portland, Ore., through May 2024.
