Army Taps Perspecta Labs to Develop Autonomous Cybersecurity Tech; Petros Mouchtaris Quoted - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Perspecta has received a potential five-year, $14.5M contract to help the U.S. Army develop a set of autonomous, configurable cyber technologies.

The company said Wednesday it will design, build and test a defense-tailored machine learning technology for use in cyber threat detection under the Autonomous Defensive Cyber Operations program.

Army Combat Capabilities Development Command launched the program to address the need for light-weight, autonomous tools that facilitate the training and deployment of cybersecurity platforms.

Petros Mouchtaris, president of Perspecta Labs, said his team will use its ML, tactical networking and cybersecurity expertise to support the Army’s autonomous cyber defense.

The company will leverage its Learning Using Privileged Information machine learning paradigm that allows sensors to operate in environments with a wide variety of threats.
