NASA has asked industry for comments on its proposed requirements as it develops a solicitation for the acquisition of telecommunications systems and services in support of the mission of the agency’s office of the chief information officer.

A request for information posted Tuesday says NASA is developing a solicitation for the Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology Solutions contract, which seeks to increase the use of network automation and automated segmentation, improve mission management and achieve cost-effective and flexible communications services.

The draft performance work statement for the proposed AEGIS contract grouped the required support services into five categories: contract management, enterprise services, center and associated component facility services, infrastructure projects and unique services.

The RFI wants interested stakeholders to suggest changes to the draft PWS and data requirement description documents, identify barriers to competition, recommend reasonable small business contracting goals and provide feedback on the implementation of a zero-trust approach, among others.

All comments are due March 18.
