
L3Harris Technologies has shipped the 3000th unit of a technology designed to help the U.S. Army detect and address targets.
The company said Monday it has delivered 3K STORM-SLX precision rangefinders to the service branch as of early 2020. The weapon-mounted technology is the smallest of Army-approved laser rangefinders.
Lynn Bollengier, president of integrated vision solutions at L3Harris, said the company“™s STORM product portfolio has been providing soldiers with boosted targeting accuracy for over 15 years.
The company is also working to develop the new STORM 2 rangefinder under a $215M contract awarded by the Army in 2019.
