The Texas Department of Information Resources has selected Carahsoft Technology to help the state's government agencies and educational institutions procure a range of information technology products and services through a contract vehicle.
Public sector buyers will have access to data storage, networking and communications offerings from 13 commercial providers via the DIR procurement vehicle, Carahsoft said Monday.
The contract also provides a means for the state government to do business with smaller businesses that are part of Carahsoft's network of authorized fulfillment partners.
"As the volume of data collected increases year-over-year, leveraging the latest storage and networking hardware allows public sector IT teams to drill through this data to find true value," said Robert Moore, an executive vice president at Carahsoft.
"We look forward to helping agencies modernize and power the critical missions of the state of Texas.â€
Carahsoft listed the following vendors that will offer equipment and services under the DIR contract:
- ClearCube Technology
- DroneDeploy

- FireEye
