Fortem Technologies has secured a contract of an undisclosed sum from the Department of Defense to provide approaches that will impede and counter improvised threat environments.
The company said Monday it has delivered various offerings, including DroneHunter and SkyDome, to the DoD in a move to support the latter’s efforts in addressing requirements in military operations.
DroneHunter is designed to intercept counter-drone systems while SkyDome is an adaptable artificial intelligence tool that digitizes airspace and incorporates networked sensor data to autonomously trace environments.
Fortem noted its technologies are designed to secure military bases from drone attacks and mitigate adverse effects to local communities.
Adam Robertson, chief technology officer at Fortem, said the firm’s DroneHunter system along with the SkyDome tool work together to repel attacks from unmanned aerial vehicles.
