Data security firm Enveil has raised $10M in a round of Series A financing led by C5 Capital and supported by several investors including Capital One Ventures, Mastercard, 1843 Capital and Bloomberg Beta.
Enveil said Tuesday it will use the investment to expand its ZeroReveal product line, build up its global sales team and client support functions and broaden its presence in government and commercial markets.
ZeroReveal is designed to protect data in use using homomorphic encryption techniques and can help organizations perform secure searches, sharing, analytics and collaboration of sensitive data on premises or in the cloud without disclosing the contents of the search.
Ellison Anne Williams, founder and CEO of Enveil, said the company is privileged to have a team of investors who recognize its technical capabilities and ability of ZeroReveal to address privacy concerns on a global scale.
Enveil said the funding round builds on strategic funding worth more than $5M it has secured from In-Q-Tel, DataTribe, Refinitiv, Cyber Mentor Fund and other investors since its establishment in 2016.
