Cubic’s mission solutions business has entered into an agreement with the U.S. Special Operations Command’s Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics unit to investigate airborne payload technologies for the Department of Defense.
Cubic said Thursday it will tap its ISR Systems subsidiary to carry out research and development efforts for the payload technologies.
Jerry Madigan, president of Cubic’s ISR Systems subsidiary, said USSOCOM seeks to build technologies that will support special operations worldwide through the cooperative agreement.
The firm’s ISR-ONE unmanned aerial vehicle is designed to allow long-range intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capacities during strategic and tactical missions.
