Telephonics’ multi-function radar suite has won first place in a U.S. Navy competition that will support the accelerated delivery of unmanned aerial systems to the U.S. Marine Corps.
The company said Tuesday it submitted the Mosaic system that is designed to conduct various mode operations through the use of true dual beam technology to succeed in the Marine Air/Ground Task Force, Unmanned Aerial System, Expeditionary, or MUX, challenge.
Telephonics noted the radar logged over 60 mission hours on rotary and fixed-wing aircraft systems.
Kevin McSweeney, president at Telephonics, said the win reflects the radar’s capacity to address current and potential mission requirements.
