TYSONS CORNER, VA, January 21, 2020 — The Federal Aviation Administration selected Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) to modernize an air traffic control system used to sequence and space aircraft, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.
The company will perform usability updates as part of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System modernization effort and continue to support FAA’s NextGen initiative, Raytheon said Jan. 14.
STARS works to support aircraft spacing and sequencing tasks at more than 600 military and civilian airports nationwide.
