Ace Electronics Defense Systems has won a five-year, $64.4M contract to help the U.S. Navy update the hardware component of the service branch's Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System.
The company will provide manufacturing kits, test articles and spare parts for the AN/SWG-5(V)6 TTWCS modernization effort under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.
DoD noted the project aims to equip the missile system with new offensive features for the Tomahawk's maritime strike mission as well as prevent obsolescence and increase operability of the hardware.
The Navy received one proposal for the IDIQ and will obligate $259,118 in fiscal 2019 other procurement funds at the time of award. Contract work will occur at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland through January 2025.
