Vista Equity Partners has completed its acquisition of a majority stake in Fulton, Md.-based software supply chain automation technology provider Sonatype for an undisclosed sum.
Sonatype, formerly backed by Blue Delta Capital Partners, provided "a double digit multiple of capital return" to the government market investment firm and its partners at CNF Investments as part of the deal, Blue Delta said Monday.
Wayne Jackson has led Sonatype as chief executive over the past nine years.
Blue Delta co-founder Mark Frantz acknowledged Jackson's leadership ability and said he believes Vista can help the software company reach greater heights through the new partnership.
Sonatype designed its platform to help DevOps teams and information technology developers automatically incorporate security measures into the software development process.
