TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 26, 2019 — Red Hat renewed its Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 security certification for version 7.6 of its Enterprise Linux platform, GovCon Wire reported Dec. 12.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology’s FIPS 140-2 certificate revalidates the operating system’s cryptographic modules designed to help government and commercial clients protect sensitive data, the company said Dec. 10.
