Raytheon has received a four-year, $47.8M contract from the U.S. Air Force to produce missile systems designed to engage fixed and moving targets.

The company's missile systems business will provide 95 Maverick units equipped with infrared seeker technology, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The AF Life Cycle Management Center is the contracting activity and will obligate the full contract amount from foreign military sales funds.

Work will take place in Tucson, Ariz., through Oct. 19, 2023.

Raytheon’s AGM-65 Maverick system is designed to integrate with helicopters as well as attack, patrol and fighter aircraft. The precision-attack missile has been deployed by military customers in 30 countries, according to the company.
