Resolvn, a Maryland-based startup, has agreed to help the U.S. Navy construct a set of virtual networks for cyber operations training, National Defense Magazine reported Monday.
The sought outcome will serve as an environment where operators can virtually execute training scenarios across networks.
Sean Donnelly, CEO at Resolvn, said in an interview that the firm will produce 14 virtual environments that simulate commercial and government networks.
The five-phase effort aims to accelerate cyber offense and defense training and provide sailors with tools that resemble those in real-life scenarios. The first phase of the project is scheduled to launch in the near future.
Resolvn offers training and assessment services for a variety of cybersecurity functions.
