The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council has awardedÂ Leidos, Intel and First Genesis the 2019 Audience Choice Award in recognition of their collaborative workÂ on a blockchain-based approach to sharing dataÂ acrossÂ electronic record management systems.
Leidos said MondayÂ the industryÂ team developed a platform to facilitate the transmission of clinical trial results and patient data among health care providers.
Ray Yep, director of Intelâ€™s federal health business, said the system uses Optane solid state drives and Xeon Scalable processors.
â€œWe have architected our Blockchain Platform as a Service to address the traditional IT platform challenges in interoperability, security, performanceÂ and scalability,â€ First Genesis CEO Pascal Watty said.
First Genesis is headquartered inÂ Texas and offers data security, compliance, systems integration, project management, data analytics, interoperability, blockchain and cloud computing services.
ACT-IAC aims to help improve government processes with the use of technology.Â The council provides opportunities for private and public organizations to collaborate on blockchain, health information technology, cybersecurity and workforce management, amongÂ other areas.
