Cubic’s global defense business has received recognition for work on a virtual training platform during an event that took place last Thursday.
The company said Friday its Secure Live, Virtual and Constructive Advanced Training Environment, or SLATE, offering was named the “Most Innovative New Product†under the 2019 CONNECT MIP Awards’ defense category.
SLATE integrates virtual assets with live objects through the National Security Administration’s Type-1 encryption and the government’s Advanced Technology Waveform.
Bradley Feldmann, chairman, president and CEO at Cubic, said the SLATE system allows U.S. military partners to train and assess combat readiness in a secure manner.
Cubic partnered with Naval Air Systems Command and Air Force Research Laboratory to demonstrate SLATE’s use for fighter aircraft training.
